It's World Sleep Day today
and this helps remind us all how important it is to get a good night's sleep.
According to the research almost half of us suffer from periods of insomnia and broken sleep and I know how this feels from my days travelling for work. Crossing time zones, carrying work stress played havoc with my sleep and at times I resorted to sleeping pills - which I would not recommend!
Long term sleep problems contribute to all sorts of physical and mental health issues including obesity, hypertension, depression and Alzheimers.
