If your calendar is packed with reoccurring group meetings this is for you
Work you way through your list of reoccurring meetings in your diary and ask yourself a simple but powerful question.
'Do I usually multi task my way through meetings like this one?' If the answer is 'yes' you need to decline the meeting. Harsh but true. You being there but not being there is not helpful to you and an insult to the person running the meeting. You need to use that time focused on achieving your most important goals and the organiser needs to rethink - with your help - how they achieve their goal. Be considerate and thoughtful, we all contribute to the culture of meaningless meetings if we don't combat them!
If you're running group meetings take a read of my article on how to get the most out of that investment of time.
