Is stress weighing you down?

This is a brilliant analogy for how holding onto even a small amount of stress and anxiety has a profoundly negative effect on our bodies and our state of mind.

Imagine if this were a bucket instead of a glass!

Stress is the negative whirlwind of emotions that gets imposed on top of our stimulation and engagement. - Andrew J. Bernstein

Stress is a byproduct of subconscious beliefs we have about our world. If we can change our thinking we can let go of our stress, but changing beliefs can take time as the brain will look for evidence in order to believe in the change.

So what can we do in the moment to alleviate our stress?

If you're holding onto stress, be kind to yourself and put the glass down.

Get outside, do some exercise, laugh with friends, read a good book, play with children, help others.

Shake off the ache of holding that glass!
